Pc shops says motherboard but i see nothing. Can you start the laptop when the battery removed? The fuses are usually, but not always, near to the power socket. If assumed it was the the dc jack and bought a new motherboard. I already changed the AC charger and the power jack! I understand your problem..

I bought it with a bad motherboard and changed it for a working used one.
My laptop has started working again by it self. Sorry cannot help with this problem. There were two issues along the way… 1 As mentioned, I sony vaio vgn-nr160e two usb ports unusable but there are 2 more on the the right side that work fine. Thanks for not bogging us down with extra details.
Could be memory failure. I could be wrong, but one of the possible locations vgj-nr160e between the hard drive and modem, under the yellow tape.
